100 Good Men is an informal group of men who care deeply about our community and want to do something special to impact local charitable organizations while having some fun along the way.  

Our Mission Statement reads: "The 100 Good Men of Lexington unites committed members to support and empower local nonprofits through financial contributions. Guided by our members' experience and passion, we work in a discrimination-free environment, using a rigorous selection process to provide a meaningful impact for those in need."

The goal is to raise $100,000+ each year by creating an ongoing membership of 100 “Good Men” who will each pledge $1,000.

This will allow us to give “transformative” gifts totaling $100,000 to one or more deserving nonprofit organizations that serve our community.  This could be one gift of $100,000.  Two gifts of $50,000.  Four gifts of $25,000.  Or Ten Gifts of $10,000.

Each member will agree to recruit another member, and that member will agree to recruit another member until we reach 100 total members.  Now, we probably won’t stop at 100.  If we get to 125 or 150, that would be even better.

Then the fun part - there will be minimal time commitment. We envision this group getting together a few times throughout the year. Comedy Off Broadway would be excited to have our group there. Sporting events, Happy Hours, etc.

The group will be under the umbrella of Blue Grass Community Foundation which will take care of the administration of the fund and provide total transparency of all financial transactions.

Please note: The contribution amount for each individual is $1,010 (or $505 for donors age 35 or younger). A small amount is added to your contribution to provide funding to BGCF to administer the fund’s activity, so your net contribution will be $1,000 or $500 to the designated organizations.

Deadline for Donations is June 1st.

 Our group will seek nominations and have a formal submission process to decide on which organization(s) will receive our donations.  This can be one charitable organization or several.

Deadline for Nominations is June 15th.

Awards will be handed out in the month of July.
