For my 27th birthday (JAN. 25), I’m raising money for the Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative at Blue Grass Community Foundation. Your contribution will support our efforts to grow Black wealth in Lexington and redress our city’s history of state-sanctioned theft from Black Kentuckians.

The Lexington Black Prosperity Initiative was created to pursue the goal of strengthening, supporting, and making a meaningful impact in Black communities.

Since its founding in the summer of 2020, LBPI has awarded more than $300,000 to local organizations that are building a better future and transforming lives in local Black communities. But it’s not nearly enough. As we accelerate Black-led social change at this historic point in time, we need your support to increase our investments in Black students, organizations, and families in Fayette County.

We have ambitious goals to grow our impactful grantmaking and our permanent endowment fund to ensure this critical work continues long into the future.
