Kenya Girls Forward Charitable Fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation
In 2011, Carolyn Witt Jones and the late Jo Robertson envisioned a collective effort of generosity to fund education for girls in Kenya. This resulted in the establishment of the Kenya Girls Forward Charitable Fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation. The fund has thus far supported more than 300 students who would otherwise not have access to secondary school.

DONATION LEVELS

$25	Your contribution of $25 will provide a girl with a school uniform for one year. Additionally, this amount will cover essential items such as sanitary napkins and other dignity-related basic needs for a school term (three months).
$50 - $150	This range can support more girls with personal effects. Many girls come to school without basic hygiene products. For instance, in a video we shared, a girl described how she collects discarded soap pieces to use for her personal hygiene. Your donation can help ensure that these girls have access to basic necessities like soap, body lotion, undergarments, and so much more.
$150 - $200	This level will assist in purchasing essential school materials for girls in secondary schools or college. Beyond school fees, additional educational needs include reams of paper, school uniforms, remedial fees, and academic trips.
$250	A donation of $250 can cover the school fees for a girl in a day school at the secondary level. For girls in boarding schools, this amount can partially support their fees (50%:50% is applicable). These funds can accumulate to pay fees for girls over four years, depending on the frequency of contributions.
$500	Your generous contribution of $500 covers a girl's school fees at a boarding school for an entire year. A commitment of four years at this giving level gives a girl the opportunity to complete her secondary education.

One-Time and Recurring Donations
We encourage one-time contributions, but if you have the capacity to commit to recurring donations, that would be immensely beneficial as well.
