HONORING THE LIFE OF
NATHAN BURNETT
The Nathan Henry Burnett Foundation is a charitable donor-advised fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation created for the purpose of honoring the life of Nathan Burnett. Dollars from the foundation will be used to preserve and grow the experience of Eastern Little League in Lexington, Kentucky and assist other youth sports leagues in Central Kentucky.
Nathan Burnett played eight seasons of baseball in Eastern Little League starting at age 5:
Tee Ball – Sidewinders
Coach Pitch – Brewers
Minor League – Braves
Majors – Cardinals
Nathan was the epitome of an Eastern Little League ball player. He always had a smile on his face while playing the game he loved with and against friends old and new. He loved being around the game and at the park whether it be cheering on his little brothers or watching his friends play. Nathan was a major contributor in making Ecton and Merrick Parks an always “Happy Place”.
While not every player comes from the same circumstances, or possesses the same baseball talent, once they put on a uniform, at any level, they become part of the Eastern Little League Family. Nathan would be proud of the opportunity to assist future Eastern Little League ball players during their time in league.
The Nathan Henry Burnett Foundation will assist all boys and girls in realizing the same wonderful Eastern Little League experience that Nathan and hundreds of others have enjoyed through the years.
***Gifts made to the Nathan Henry Burnett Foundation will be conservatively invested and professionally managed. All gifts will receive an acknowledgment and charitable gift receipt from Blue Grass Community Foundation.***
