SHANNON'S ANGELS FUND
at BLUE GRASS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

During Shannon Morgan Lisk’s battle with ovarian cancer, she made it her mission to help the women around her. She became aware that many women undergoing treatment alongside her, were also struggling to take care of their families. Her desire to help, while spreading joy and happiness came during her favorite time of year - the holiday season. She wanted these women to experience a magical Christmas with their families. She recruited her friends and worked tirelessly to make this happen.

Shannon’s Angels is a group committed to continuing Shannon’s work. Your donation will enable us to reach out to women currently being treated at the UK Markey Cancer Center this holiday season. We want Shannon’s beautiful spirit to continue to touch the lives of ovarian cancer patients and their families. 

The Shannon's Angels fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation is a charitable, donor-advised fund that was established in Shannon's memory to support organizations that help women who are struggling with the day-to-day necessities of life as cancer patients.

Shannon's Angels Charity is honored to be this year's beneficiary of the Poor Man's Harlan County Derby Eve party! For over 50 years, Bill Morgan has hosted this lively event, generously donating all entry fees and auction proceeds to a chosen charity. We are beyond grateful for this opportunity and invite you to join in on the fun! 

Join us on Friday, May 2nd, from 6pm-midnight at the Kentucky K Club (1398 Sports Center Drive, Lexington) for an unforgettable evening featuring live music, auction items, food donated by Joe Bologna's and Boomerang beer cheese, and a cash bar.
